Natural and homeopathic remedies are becoming increasingly popular and readily available. Everywhere we look there seems to be Natural and Organic products being promoted from the food in the grocery store to the pharmacy down the street.

The move to the more “Natural” way of healing many ailments today is also rapidly being accepted and welcomed with open arms. The old saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” does seem to follow along the route of Natural or Organic as being the best preventative care.

Ailments such as Tinnitus is a symptom that has been coming increasingly common due to the loudness of many environments today. And, it is currently one of the conditions that is being researched for a “Natural” cure.

In the past, medications such as steroids and antibiotics were suggested but not found to have very good results. Currently, there are three natural remedies which are being researched to aid in tinnitus relief:

• Vitamin B12 – it was found that the deficiency of vitamin B12 was common among tinnitus sufferers. When vitamin B12 was administered, it was found to be very helpful and relieving some of the ringing in ear.

• Ginkgo Biloba extract was another nutrient tried for tinnitus relief however, results were inconsistent and not found to be helpful.

• Zinc was also a common nutrient that was found to be deficient among tinnitus sufferers. Zinc supplements were given to a study group and found to have significant improvement in relieving the tinnitus.

Taking supplements such as those stated above would be a more viable source to begin to help reduce the ringing in ear. Also, when compared to the more costly methods being offered by conventional medicine these natural alternatives would be much easier on your wallet.

In conclusion, the natural and homeopathic treatment for tinnitus is having amazing results that not only stop the ringing in ear but also offer an overall health improvement

Treatment of Tinnitus – Your Options

How can we cure Tinnitus? How come its so hard to get rid of that "small" and terrible condition? Why do doctors suggest so many different treatments? The only way to answer these questions is by learning about our Tinnitus. What is it actually? Click here to learn how to stop your Tinnitus permanently.

The search for various treatment options for tinnitus is a very important and urgent one, considering it’s increasing rampancy in industrialized countries. Tinnitus is a symptom which serves as a pointer to the presence of an underlying disease condition, and can be very stressful to the sufferer.

Tinnitus refers to the perception of sound in the ear or head which is not being produced from a source in the external surroundings. The symptom can get so frustrating, and so loud that the sufferer becomes unable to lead a normal life.

Several disorders could cause the symptoms to appear anytime in life. Disorders which could give tinnitus-like symptoms include ‘murmurs’ emanating from the flow of blood through a defective heart valve, Eustachian tube and inner ear defects. The above-mentioned conditions may lead to a form of tinnitus called-objective tinnitus. This is so-called, because the source of the sound can be easily traced, and the root cause directly addressed with treatment administered where possible. However, tinnitus actually refers to that condition where the source of the sound cannot be so easily placed.

After seeking for medical help, the doctor does a thorough physical check-up after taking note of the symptoms you suffer. Afterward, there may be a need to evaluate your hearing, balance and coordination. The treatment plan embarked upon would depend on the cause of the tinnitus.

Medicines e.g antibiotics may be prescribed for use if the tinnitus is being caused by an infection of the ear. However, even after the underlying cause has been taken care of, tinnitus retraining therapy is usually incorporated into the treatment program. This is because most tinnitus sufferers need to be encouraged to dissociate the sounds and the negative feelings they produce. Finally, unconventional means have been employed such as yoga, meditation and hypnosis in the treatment of tinnitus.

Tinnitus is a condition which is evidenced by the sufferer hearing abnormal noise in the ears. The condition can be very troubling because the noise heard could be so disconcerting and annoying as to drive a person into a frenzy. Several tinnitus remedies are known, and will be mentioned in a moment.

Tinnitus is not a disease. Rather, it is usually a symptom of an underlying disease. There are many factors that can cause the condition, and ear infections or trauma are very common causes .

Other factors or diseases that may predispose to tinnitus include: damage to the ear from very loud and repeated noise, middle ear infections, presence of wax or fluid in the ear, blocked Eustachian tube, accidental trauma to the ear or skull, affecting the inner ear, could also be a cause. Several drugs either due to side effects or overdosage e.g asprin, some ototoxic antibiotics e.g gentamycin, erythromycin, tetracycline and anti-malarials e.t.c.

Prevention is usually better than cure, and those things you can do to prevent tinnitus include: protecting your eardrum when in a noisy environment by wearing ear-muffs, avoiding nerve stimulants e.g coffee, avoiding overdoses of aspirin, decrease salt intake, ardently keeping to drug prescriptions as directed by the physician, avoiding the placement of sharp objects in the ears, preventing cerumen(ear wax) from accumulating in the ear, reducing or desisting from smoking tobacco.

Treatment of ear infections through the use of antibiotics, cleaning of ear canal in cases where it has been impacted with wax, drainage of accumulated fluid, vitamin supplementation (e.g niacin), etidronate or sodium fluoride in the treatment of otosclerosis, use of electrical stimulation including transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, implantation of electrodes in the head e.t.c

Tinnitus Remedies – How to Cure Tinnitus

Learn now about a simple and effective way to stop your ear ringing. Click here to learn how to stop your Tinnitus permanently.

Tinnitus is not a disease on it’s own. It is usually a symptom of many other underlying disease conditions which could have been caused by several factors. Considering the discomfort that tinnitus causes it’s sufferers, it is important to know how to cure tinnitus.

The manifestation of tinnitus includes the sufferer perceiving all kinds and ranges of sounds. It could be high or low, and may occur intermittently or continuously. It could be so disconcerting as to prevent a person from carrying out any activity or even sleeping.

There are several approaches when attempting a cure for tinnitus. Of prime importance however is determining what the underlying cause is. All treatment attempts made without isolating the real cause usually ends up being ineffective

When the sufferer visit’s the hospital, the doctor tries to determine what the cause(es) might be, by quizzing the patient to obtain a medical history. Physical examination is also carried out to deduce where the buzz being heard is coming from. It might by this means be possible to find a quick cure for the condition if the doctor is able to locate foreign bodies, wax or fluid causing the symptoms. Getting rid of them could immediately bring an end to the discomfort being felt by the patient. However, most times it is not that easy.

From the history taken, the doctor is able to distinguish the peculiarity of the tinnitus being treated. Is it constant or intermittent? Does it cause a loss of balance? An impairment of hearing? This will help to determine what additional tests need to be carried out; e.g an audiogram (hearing test) to arrive at a diagnosis. After the doctor has confirmed his diagnosis, he would commence on a line of treatment which could include the use of niacin, radio surgery, and drugs such as propanolol, clonazepam, etidronate or sodium fluoride and acamprosate e.t.c. procedures such as implantation of electrodes, Transcranial magnetic stimulation and Tinnitus retraining therapy techniques have been used. Research still continues on how to cure tinnitus.
